Greenbank Power Hockey Club - Greenbank Bears (Merseyside):

Greenbank Power Hockey Club is the first established Power Hockey team under GB Power Hockey Association and is situated in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This is also where the actual sport of Power Hockey was born. Back in 2000, former CEO of the Greenbank Project and now Chairman of GB Power Hockey Association, Gerry Kinsella began the process of designing a chair for a select group of power wheelchair users wanted to play Unihoc which was played by manual wheelchair users with hockey sticks. From this, Gerry realized the potential for a sport to be formed exclusively for power wheelchair users: Power Hockey.

Over the last twenty years, the Power Hockey chair has continued to develop with many disabled people across Merseyside enjoying playing the sport recreationally over this time. Greenbank Power Hockey Club looks forward to playing the sport competitively and welcomes everyone that would like to try Power Hockey out!
